John Lawrence Ordonio looked untamed and dangerous the last time he set foot in a boxing ring. That was back in February of 2020, when he was matched with the accomplished Marlon Arcilla. His opponent was resuming that day, but as the winner of 9 fights against solid opposition, was expected to be a little more than the 24 year old Ordonio could handle. But the boy from San Fernando City turned up full of attitude, and proved his mettle in negating everything that Arcilla threw at him. Not only that, but JL Ordonio aka The Equalizer gave plenty back in return and earned a definitive win.
A come forward orthodox fighter, Ordonio has a useful jab, but prefers a parry and counter to set up shots. He also has an overhand right in his arsenal that yields rocks or diamonds, depending upon how well he sets up for it. His task against Victoriano won’t be easy in that regard, as the Manila trained fighter works from a strong defensive shell.
There is no doubting that if this promising young fighter can land his bowl over shot, it will indeed prove “THE EQUALIZER”, as Ordonio has scored three BIG knockouts in his career so far.
John Lawrence Ordonio achieved a stoppage win over outstanding young talent Jules Victoriano at QUEST FOR GLORY. It was his first match back since 2020 for the man known as The Equalizer, and what he lacked in timing, he made up for with ring guile and power. It was a match that both fighters will derive plenty of improvement from, and word is strong that a rematch is looking a possibility. This was a great tussle between Ordonio and Victoriano - definitely worth seeing a "take two"!
